Visiting Hours
General Visiting Hours
Visiting hours for most hospital patients are
11 a.m. - 8 p.m. daily. However, many special care areas have their own visiting
regulations.
Birth Center*
- General visiting hours are 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. daily.
- Visiting is strictly regulated by infection control policies.
- Visitors must check in at the Birth Center Information Desk on the 3rd Floor of the Carol Jo Vecchie Women and Children's Center.
Cardiac Recovery Unit (CRU)
- 9:00 - 9:15 a.m.; 1:00 - 1:15 p.m.; 5:00 - 5:15 p.m.; and 8:15 - 8:30 p.m.
- Must be 13 or older.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Immediate family only; must be 16 or older.
- 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.; 1 - 2:30 p.m.; 4 - 6:30 p.m.; and 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.
- Before and after visiting hours families can wait in the ICU Visitors Lounge.
- Family members who chose to gather in another location should inform the ICU receptionist.
- After 8 p.m., two visitors per patient may remain in the ICU Visitors Lounge.
Pediatrics* and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)*
- 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Please check in at the nurses desk before entering room.
Psychiatry
- Monday through Friday: 4 - 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 11 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
*Parents may remain at their child's bedside at all times.
*Visitor badges are required for all visitors to the Birth
Center, Pediatrics, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Neonatal Intensive
Care Unit at the Carol Jo Vecchie Women and Children's Center.
During regular visiting hours, children ages 6 to 12 may visit patient care
areas (except Pediatrics and Intensive Care; siblings only in Birth Center)
if accompanied by a responsible adult. Exceptions require approval from the
attending physician and nursing supervisor.
Only two people should visit a patient at a time. Visitors may not
sit on beds, handle bedside articles or use patient bathrooms.
