The Birth Center provides the highest level of care for expectant mothers experiencing normal or problem pregnancies in our antenatal unit. As a Level III regional perinatal center, the South-Central Illinois Perinatal Center at St. John's Hospital cares for high-risk mothers referred from a 17-hospital region. If needed, a special team is available to transport the mother to St.John's.
